Ingredients:
Pork butt / pork loin 500g
Garlic 5 cloves
1tbsp dark soy sauce
4tbsp char siu sauce
1tsp Cooking wine
1tsp Honey
Methods:
- Soak the pork in the water for about 1.5 – 2 hours to clear the blood. Wipe and dry the pork. Cut it into big cubes.
- Chop garlic into tiny pieces (or use garlic paste), then put dark soy sauce, char siu sauce, cooking wine and honey into a bowl and mix them well
- Marinate the pork with the mixture above.
- Put in a sealed container for 2-3 days (at least 24 hours) and put it into the fridge.
- Put into oven, 200 degree for 30 – 45 minutes.
Char Siu Sauce
Instead of putting it into a sealed container, I put it in a sealed bag. I gave it a 'massage' in between the three days. It will be easier to do it in a sealed bag.
I used the butcher hook and hang it in the oven. (Before)
